Pete Raynor and Jen Meyer attended and represented the Midwest Consortium. There was an Awardee Meeting on Tuesday with grant updates, a panel discussion on IRBs, a program official meeting, and a business official meeting.  We enjoyed a group dinner on Tuesday evening and dove right into the workshop meeting, on Wednesday morning. The Workshop was titled “A Pulse on the Nation’s Workforce, Addressing the Implications of Emerging Hazards, Careers, and Technologies.” There were three-panel discussions held.  Pete was on the panel that discussed “Expanding Training Across Generations.”  The other two panels were as follows: “Clean Energy and Safety Implications for Workers,” and “Implications of Evolving Technologies.”  These three panel discussions informed our breakout activity on Thursday where we had deeper discussions and brainstorming on these specific topics.  It was a great meeting, and the weather was beautiful!
