Lonnie Jones II, Lead Instructor for the Greater Cincinnati Occupational Health Center (G.C.O.H.C.)
Lonnie exemplifies the spirit of Servant Leadership, with a firm belief and commitment to protecting Workers and their Communities.
Lonnie served in the United States Marine Corps for almost ten years as a Harrier Jet mechanic, and Drill Instructor. After being Honorably Discharged from the Marines, he joined the Cincinnati Fire Department (CFD) and has remained there for twenty-five years. He is a Heavy Rescue Technician, Paramedic and a certified Instructor.
Lonnie is a Prince Hall Mason and Shriner. He is a Past Illustrious Potentate of Sinai Temple No. 59, Past Master of Elisha Lodge No. 106, Imperial Deputy of Mounted Patrol for the Ancient Egyptian Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine of North and South America and its Jurisdiction Inc., Prince Hall Affiliated, Right Worshipful Grand Lodge Development Fund Trustee for the state of Ohio. He is a Thirty-Third Degree Mason, and President of his thirty-third class, the “Samuel C. Hunter Jr. Class of 2014”. He was awarded the Leon Evans Award from the Cincinnati African-American Fighters Association, and the Blue Maltese from the CFD for rescuing a woman and her unborn child from a fire.
Lonnie graduated from Walnut Hills High School, and attended Ohio University for Pre-Med. He teaches for the Cincinnati Fire Department, the International Chemical Workers Union Center (I.C.W.U.C.) and is certified to teach in 38 states. He is currently working to complete his studies.
